A police official informed CNN that upon arrival, no indications of foul play were evident at the scene, and a note was uncovered within the premises. "Our preliminary investigation to date has yielded no evidence of criminal involvement," the police told CNN. "Given that the family has declined an autopsy, we will proceed with releasing the deceased to their custody." The police further stated that they would conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of death in accordance with standard procedures.

Born in 1985, Song embarked on his entertainment journey with the 2009 film "Actresses." He garnered widespread acclaim for his portrayal of a royal guard in the 2012 historical drama "Moon Embracing the Sun," and his popularity was further cemented through his appearance on the reality show "We Got Married." His final acting endeavor was in the musical "La Rose De Versailles," which concluded in October.

The last posts on Song's Instagram account, two selfies shared in January, have garnered over 61,000 likes, with the comment section disabled in a show of respect. Following the announcement of his passing, fellow South Korean celebrities have paid their condolences to Song.
