The highly anticipated new season of "South Park" is set to premiere on July 9th, promising a wild ride filled with overflowing toilets, ketamine-fueled escapades, and an interstellar journey featuring Diddy. Additionally, the trailer for Season 27 of this controversial Comedy Central series, co-created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, teases a violent war breaking out against Canada.

"Oh crap, we’re all gonna get fired!" Butters exclaims from within a bustling air traffic control center, as planes collide and explode in the background, adding to the tension.

The trailer kicks off with eerie live-action footage of an abandoned swing set and the wing of an airplane against a desolate backdrop. The text reads, "The acclaimed drama returns," before seamlessly transitioning into "South Park's" iconic animation style, capturing viewers' attention instantly.

It's been over two years since the last season of "South Park" premiered, and the show took a break during the 2024 election. Parker and Stone revealed that this was somewhat "on purpose," as they no longer found it amusing to lampoon Trump on the show.

"We’ve attempted to incorporate 'South Park' into four or five presidential elections, but it’s incredibly challenging—it's a mental maze that assigns undue significance to the matter," Stone expressed.

Parker added, "Certainly, it's immensely significant, but it tends to overshadow everything else, making it less enjoyable. I'm not sure what more we could possibly say about Trump."

Currently, Stone and Parker are collaborating on an enigmatic feature film with Kendrick Lamar, which is scheduled for release sometime in 2026 via Paramount.

Serving as executive producers alongside Parker and Stone are Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell, and Vernon Chatman take on producer roles, while Christopher Brion heads up as the creative director of South Park Digital Studios.
