Their intense clash, spanning two disparate worlds, will reach its epic conclusion in the third and final season, promised for next year."

Netflix previously teased a sneak preview of the upcoming season in February, amidst a dazzling showcase of its upcoming offerings, confirming that the series would make its comeback in the latter half of 2024. Amidst the anticipation, Netflix also spun off 'Squid Game: The Challenge,' a reality competition based on the drama, which is also set to embark on its second season.

Hwang Dong-hyuk's letter concludes with a note of excitement and promise, stating, "I am overjoyed to witness the seed we planted in crafting a fresh 'Squid Game' flourish and bear fruit until the very end of this narrative. We shall leave no stone unturned in delivering yet another adrenaline-pumping ride. Brace yourselves for the exhilarating journey ahead."

Lee Jung-jae and Hwang Dong-hyuk have already been honored with Emmys for their groundbreaking work in the show's inaugural season, with Hwang executive producing alongside Kim Ji-yeon, ensuring that the legacy of 'Squid Game' continues to captivate and inspire.
