"I reached for my phone to call the driver back, only to find it dead," Keery elaborated. Spotting the car he had just exited, he dashed after it in the bustling streets of New York City. After sprinting for a few blocks, the Uber made a turn, and Keery caught up with it, pounding on the window in a bid to retrieve his precious hard drive. To his disappointment, he soon realized it wasn't the same driver or vehicle. Exhausted, he returned to his hotel, charged his phone, and eventually managed to get in touch with Uber. Keery generously offered the driver $100, and thankfully, his hard drive was returned to him, intact and unharmed.

Keery posted a snippet of the interview on Instagram, where his fans promptly reacted with a flurry of comments. One enthusiast wrote, "This gave me such anxiety, imagining he almost lost his album before its release and all his songs!" Another quipped, "Can you picture just chilling and then witnessing Joe Keery chase an Uber down the street like a scene from a movie?" A third fan enthused, "Absolutely worth the chase—this album is a masterpiece!"

Keery's album hit the shelves on April 4th.
