In an interview with People magazine, published on April 12, Finn Wolfhard, the star of Stranger Things, teased the highly anticipated final season of the Netflix hit. During his conversation with the magazine, Wolfhard revealed that he was generally "thrilled" with the resolution of his on-screen persona, Mike Wheeler's, storyline. "I was overjoyed with his ending," the 22-year-old actor expressed. "I was content, yet simultaneously perplexed and saddened, yet profoundly happy. It felt like I was caught in a surreal dream. Nothing seemed genuine; it was as if it were flawlessly perfect," he further elaborated.
Wolfhard has been an integral part of the series since its inception in 2016. According to Deadline, the cast and crew wrapped up filming in December 2024. However, Netflix remains tight-lipped about the premiere date for season 5.
Upon filming the final scene, Wolfhard admitted, "I couldn't fathom it." "It wasn't until the following day that it began to sink in. It was akin to an emotional aftermath. But the conclusion was truly satisfying, and I have only positive things to say about everyone involved," he shared with People. "The entire cast stuck around for the last day; we were all united. It was wonderful to be in each other's company," he added.
As for when fans can anticipate seeing the final chapter of Hawkins unfold, Wolfhard refrained from disclosing a specific date. However, speculation has been ripe, with some internet detectives forecasting that the final season will commence streaming in November.
