It comes as no shock that the concluding chapter of "Squid Game" captivated a colossal international audience; after all, it stands as Netflix's grandest production to date. Yet, the Korean sensation continues to awe with its monumental reach. From June 27th to 29th, the third and final season amassed a staggering 60.1 million views worldwide, marking Netflix's all-time highest three-day tally in its internal rankings. Meanwhile, season two, which premiered on December 26th, 2024, racked up an impressive 68 million views over four days during its opening week. Both seasons secured spots in Netflix's all-time top 10 for non-English-language shows within their inaugural week, a unprecedented feat across both English and non-English series charts.

The 60.1 million views garnered by season three translate to an astonishing 368.4 million hours watched, according to Netflix. Clocking in at just over six hours, it is the shortest of the "Squid Game" trilogy, allowing it to accumulate viewership figures (total watching hours divided by episode runtime) at a slightly quicker pace than its predecessors.

Remarkably, "Squid Game" topped the charts in every country tracked by Netflix for the week of June 23rd to 29th, a first for any show on the streaming platform. The final season finds Player 456/Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) making a desperate bid to dismantle the lethal game from within, while its closing scene subtly suggests that the games' reach spans the globe.

Another Korean cultural gem, "KPop Demon Hunters," also enjoyed a remarkable week on Netflix. The animated film soared to the top of the English-language movie chart in its second week, amassing 24.2 million views (equivalent to numerous complete screenings of the film).

The inaugural season of "Squid Game" retains its title as Netflix's most-watched series ever, with 265.2 million views in its first 13 weeks of release (the cutoff for inclusion in the streamer's all-time top 10 lists). Season two currently holds second place among non-English-language series with 192.6 million views, while season three sits comfortably at ninth, with the potential to climb into the top five within another week.
