Carl Radke has just unleashed a summer bombshell. The beloved "Summer House" star recently disclosed in a video posted on Aug. 8 via PopViewers that his actual first name isn't Carl at all. "My middle name is Carl," he revealed. "For reasons unknown, my family always went by our middle names. Even my brother went by his."
As for the truth behind the 40-year-old's legal moniker? "My I.D. and passport say my first name is William," shared Carl, who has been a staple on the Bravo reality series for all nine seasons. "So, while my middle name is Carl, I've been called Carl since day one."
Intriguingly, Carl still seems somewhat perplexed by this naming convention. "It's a family tradition," he added. "My mom has her own explanation, which escapes me. But yes, my full name is William Carl."
And Carl's real name isn't the only adjustment "Summer House" fans will need to make. Longtime cast member Paige DeSorbo recently bid adieu to the Hamptons-based show after seven seasons.
However, as Carl previously hinted, the cast has been actively courting the "Giggly Squad" podcast co-host for a cameo in season 10. "The invitation has been extended," he exclusively told E! News last month. "I was like, 'You have to come visit.' Amanda [Batula] and Ciara [Miller] are also trying to get her, but she was in Italy and involved in other projects. So, we'll see. Fingers crossed."
Reflecting on what he'll miss most about Paige's absence, Carl said, "I'll definitely miss her sharp wit and hilarious banter. She's so funny. I'm sad I won't get to hang out with her all summer, as that was pretty much our only chance to see her."
Nevertheless, Carl is thrilled for Paige's professional success beyond the show. "Her charm and fashion sense are definitely a hard loss," he added. "But I adore Paige. We're sad to see her go, but we understand she had a lot on her plate this summer."
