Lindsay Hubbard is embracing the spirit of a sizzling "hot girl summer." Her announcement, made during the season nine reunion of Bravo's "Summer House," left both fans and fellow cast members astonishment: she and her boyfriend, Turner Kufe, had decided to part ways. On the June 4th episode, Lindsay, who welcomed her five-month-old daughter Gemma with the biotech investor, candidly shared, "We've hit pause on our romantic relationship… for the time being. Our sole focus now is being the absolute best parents we can be for Gemma."
Despite calling it quits earlier this year, the 38-year-old assertively stated that she and Turner remain an "incredible team," living apart yet raising their infant together harmoniously. There's not a shred of animosity between them. "We're the epitome of best friends," Lindsay elaborated. "Even on weekends when our nanny's not around and it's just the two of us taking turns as parents, we'll enjoy brunches or visit friends together."
Although Turner, a medical professional, occasionally spends the night at Lindsay's NYC apartment, she made it clear that their relationship goes beyond mere "friends with benefits." "We'll see where things lead in the future, but right now, there's so much for us to navigate regarding parenting, co-parenting, my public life, and his privacy," the reality star noted. "It's all too overwhelming at once."
Lindsay confessed that their primary "challenge" stemmed from Turner's desire to stay away from the limelight. "Dad's private, mom's public—what does that make baby?" she pondered. "It's tough. Once you're in the public eye, you can't reverse the damage."
For the time being, the exes are united in their dedication to Gemma, with Lindsay heaping praise on Turner as a father. "He's truly better than I could have ever imagined," she gushed.
As for dating, it's the furthest thing from Lindsay's mind. She quipped, "Mentally, I'm just not there yet."
Even before their breakup was publicly announced, Lindsay and Turner's amicable relationship was evident. In May, she shared with E! News, "We're heading out for a Mother's Day brunch, and he's thrilled about the reservation. But that's all I know. My little plan is to tell him he's taking the morning shift so I can indulge in an extra half-hour of sleep."
