While the specific role that Sweeney will embody remains under wraps, anticipation is already skyrocketing. Chu will helm the film, with the screenplay penned by the talented duo of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, known for their work on Deadpool and Wolverine. The production will be a collaborative effort between Mike Goldberg and Dmitri M. Johnson's Story Kitchen, alongside Chu's Electric Somewhere, with Sweeney taking on an executive producer hat.

Upon its March release, Split Fiction made waves by selling an astonishing two million copies in its very first week on the market. Hazelight Studios expressed their awe-inspiring gratitude, stating, "SPLIT FICTION has sold 2 MILLION copies in 1 WEEK!! We're utterly blown away! This is simply amazing… Thank you to all our new and loyal fans for your excitement and support!"

This film marks yet another exciting venture for Sweeney, marking her second foray into the world of video game adaptations. The Euphoria star is also gearing up for a high-octane movie adaptation of the Sega video game franchise, OutRun, with Michael Bay at the helm for Universal Pictures. Sweeney will not only produce but also lend her star power to this project.

Furthermore, Sweeney is set to star and produce an adaptation of the compelling Reddit tale "I pretended to be a missing girl," penned by an English teacher. She will also take center stage in a biopic on Christy Martin. Additionally, Sweeney will star alongside Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar in The Housemaid, an adaptation of Freida McFadden's bestselling novel of the same name. Slated for a December 25 release on Netflix, the film promises to be a heart-wrenching and captivating watch.
