Jennifer Flavin, wife of the renowned Sylvester Stallone, has shared her incisive perspective on transgender children in Hollywood, suggesting that they lack "structure." "Hollywood is all about expression," Flavin, 57, eloquently stated on the eponymous podcast of former press secretary Katie Miller, as captured by Fox News on October 17. Miller, 34, inquired about the prevalence of "transgender kids in Hollywood, especially among celebrity offspring," adding, "Is there something in the water in Hollywood?"
Flavin continued, "If you feel like a cat today, you're a cat," referencing a myth about litter boxes in schools for kids who identify as cats (though debunked by Snopes). "It's so unstructured," the former model added. "Let's not mistake these kids for accessories; they're little human beings who need guidance. Structure is vital for them because it helps their brains organize everything."
She argued that Hollywood households often lack proper parenting. "Growing up in a Hollywood home means there's little structure due to the constant hustle and bustle, private planes, giant homes with chefs, secretaries, assistants, housekeepers, and nannies," she explained. "It's overwhelming for a child." Flavin concluded that "it's fine to decide who you are as an adult," but emphasized the importance of raising kids with "good common sense."
Recalling her daughters, Sophia, 29, Sistine, 27, and Scarlet, 23, with Stallone, Flavin shared, "My girls preferred pants to dresses and loved sports. But I never said, 'Oh, you're a boy now.' I simply said, 'You love to play sports and hang out with boys; that's awesome.'"
Flavin's comments echo a trend of celebrities openly supporting their trans and nonbinary children, including Robert De Niro, Marlon Wayans, and Gabrielle Union. Back in March, Rosie O'Donnell revealed via TikTok that she had moved from the U.S. to Ireland to protect her child Clay, who uses they/them pronouns, from the current political climate in America. "Although I never thought I would leave the country, I decided it was best for myself and my 12-year-old child," she shared. O'Donnell later told Us Weekly that Clay had adjusted well to their new home. "There's a fantastic school there. And Clay has thrived. The community was incredibly welcoming," she said. "I love the little town; it's a village where you know everyone. The kindness is overwhelming and shocks me every day."
The full interview with Flavin will air on "The Katie Miller Podcast" on Monday, October 20, at 6 p.m. ET.
