Tamara Braun's “Young and the Restless” Debut Gets an Airdate

Exciting developments are afoot for Tamara Braun's highly anticipated debut on *The Young and the Restless*! In August, PEOPLE broke the news exclusively that the soap opera icon, aged 54, was set to join the cast of *The Young and the Restless*. Now, fresh details about her air date have surfaced.

Braun is poised to make her inaugural appearance on a CBS soap opera when she steps into the character of Sienna Bacall on October 14th, as reported by *Soap Opera Digest* on Thursday, September 25th. The report cited an interview the two-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress gave to *TV Guide*. PEOPLE had previously confirmed that Sienna is a character with "personal connections to several individuals" in Genoa City.

"She owns a club in Hollywood. There's an air of mystery surrounding her, which I think is a fantastic way to introduce a character — and very fitting for a soap opera," Braun revealed to *TV Guide* about her latest role.

While further specifics about the upcoming season of the long-standing soap opera remain closely guarded, *Young and the Restless* executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith shared with *TV Insider* earlier this month that core characters will be making a comeback with some unexpected twists and turns.

"I'm thrilled and couldn't be happier," Griffith exclaimed. "I believe that this year, in particular, we've been able to really focus on the core legacy characters and place them front and center, driving the narrative. We're truly leveraging the show's strengths of family dynamics, power struggles, romance, and intrigue."

Among the characters returning to Genoa City this fall is Cane Ashby, portrayed by Billy Flynn.

"Cane's return has injected tension, energy, apprehension, and action into the storyline. It's got everyone on edge, eagerly awaiting to see what he's going to do and how it will affect their families and businesses," Griffith added.

As for Braun, she's no stranger to the dramatic world of soap operas. The Illinois native's impressive resume includes stints on *General Hospital*, *Days of Our Lives*, *All My Children*, and more. She commenced her *General Hospital* journey in 2001 as Carly Corinthos, a role she held until 2005. However, she did make a brief return for a single episode in 2014 to commemorate the show's 51st anniversary. (Sarah Brown preceded her as Carly, and Laura Wright succeeded her in the role.)

From 2017 to 2019, Braun took on the role of Dr. Kim Nero on *General Hospital*. Additionally, she portrayed Ava Vitali on *Days of Our Lives* intermittently between 2008 and 2025. During that same period, from 2008 to 2009, she played Reese Williams on *All My Children*.
