It followed earlier online chatter linking Swift to the part of Rapunzel in Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of the 2010 animated film Tangled. The remake was first reported to be in the works late last year.
Despite previous reports stating that Swift has not been officially cast as Rapunzel, MyTimeToShineHello suggested in earlier posts that she was in the running. Disney has kept mum on Swift's potential involvement. Industry insider Daniel Richtman reported that the studio was also considering Florence Pugh for Rapunzel and eyeing Kathryn Hahn for the role of Mother Gothel.
