Taylor Swift's famed friends were taken aback by her thoughtful gestures. On a Friday night in Los Angeles, the 36-year-old pop superstar gifted each of her friends, including Este Haim, Danielle Haim, Alana Haim, and Sombr, a meticulously wrapped loaf of sourdough bread, adorned with one of her signature handwritten labels. In photographs of the Haim sisters and the "Back to Friends" singer leaving the Bird Streets Club, they could be seen strolling away from the West Hollywood restaurant with their bakery items in hand.

Swift, now 36, has been unafraid to share her baking "obsession" with the world. During an August 2025 appearance on her fiancé Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, the "Fate of Ophelia" singer explained that, following the conclusion of her record-breaking Eras tour, she had been spending a lot of time in the kitchen.

"I'd say all my hobbies could be categorized as hobbies you could have had in the 1700s, you know? Like, I get all my granny stuff," she quipped at the time. "We're very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life."

"The sourdough's taken over my life in a huge way. I'm really talking about bread 60 percent of the time now," she continued. "I'm just, like, always baking bread and texting my friends and being like, 'Can I send you some bread? I need some feedback. Do you like this one better than you liked the other one? Like, I did the rise a little differently.'"

Indeed, Selena Gomez shared a photo on her Instagram Stories featuring a basket filled with fresh bread and a Le Labo candle, which Swift had given to her for her 33rd birthday in July 2025. Written on the packaging was a handwritten message to her and her then-fiancé, Benny Blanco, that read, "Homemade sourdough … For Selena + Benny. It’s a loaf story."

Months later, Swift surprised BBC host Greg James with a loaf of his own during an October interview with BBC Radio 1.

"I've been baking, and so I brought Greg some sourdough," she said while handing him the homemade loaf. "It's lemon blueberry, which I think is a really nice variation."

And once again, Swift wrote one of her signature puns on the packaging.

"You've put 'The Fate of Doughphelia,' " James read aloud, to which Swift explained, "You know, the bread puns, like, I think the worse they are, the better."

Just days later, Jimmy Fallon revealed on social media that he was also one of the recipients of Swift's coveted sourdough loaves.

"Not gonna lie: Taylor actually makes the best sourdough. Thank you @taylorswift!!!" the Tonight Show host, 51, wrote on Instagram on Oct. 8. And this time, the packaging featured a nod to the singer's The Life of a Showgirl album with the handwritten phrase, "The Loaf of a Doughgirl."
