Taylor Swift, the pop megastar, once graced Marcus Mumford's UK abode with her presence. In an insightful interview with The Sunday Times, the frontman of Mumford & Sons eulogized Taylor as a "wonderful house guest." Marcus, 39, explained that Taylor, 36, paid him a visit at his countryside residence amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, before she released her 2020 album, Evermore.

"Taylor descended upon my studio, played me some music, and inquired if I'd like to lend my voice to any of it," Marcus reminisced. "I chose 'Cowboy Like Me.' Man, I'm in love with that song!"
When probed whether Taylor, given her colossal fame, arrived at the property with an entourage of security personnel and sniffer dogs, Marcus was quick to counter with his admiration for her as a "wonderful house guest." "Ha, no way! She stayed over and was a fantastic house guest. Uncomplicated and easy-going. She even dug into my cauliflower salad, which, by the way, is pretty darn good. And no, she didn't ask anyone to sample it beforehand!"
Elsewhere in the interview, Marcus, who shares three children with his actress wife Carey Mulligan, 40, declared that he and the other band members would rather quit the industry altogether than perform solely their old material decades after its release.
"No, f**k that," he said emphatically. "We're more than happy to play the old songs, but we must keep moving forward, to keep connecting with our fans through new music."
