Taylor Swift's Alleged Texts to Blake Lively Revealed in Justin Baldoni Court Case

Published: Jan 21 2026

Taylor Swift has literally stepped into the chat room as the drama between "It Ends With Us" co-stars Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively continues to unfold in court. Alleged text messages exchanged between the "So High School" artist and Lively have been brought to light. In a December 2024 text, Swift apparently wrote to Lively, "I think this bitch knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin," just days before the "Gossip Girl" star went public with her accusations against the director in an article published in the New York Times.

Lively's legal team denies that the messages were a reference to the "forthcoming New York Times article," which was published on December 21, 2024, according to People. In another conversation, Swift allegedly agreed to promote her version of the script, even without having read it, as requested by Baldoni's team. However, Lively's lawyers refute these claims, stating that Swift never "agreed to do Lively's bidding" or "endorsed the revised draft."

Lively allegedly texted Swift, "You were so epically heroic today," as reported by E! News. "I recapped every moment to Ryan [Reynolds]. I kept remembering stuff—You making s--t up about me and lenses. And referring to yourself as my doll. This clown falling for all of it. But also resisting it...You are the worlds absolute greatest friend ever."

The case between the "Jane the Virgin" star and Lively is expected to go to trial in May.
