Jenelle Evans is sharing some delightful news about her familial dynamics. The Teen Mom alum has revealed that she and her ex-husband, David Eason, who share a 9-year-old daughter named Ensley, have been on positive terms lately, after a tumultuous period in their relationship in the wake of their divorce.
"David has recently returned to visit Ensley in Vegas, but now he's back in North Carolina," she told Us Weekly in an interview published on March 8. "I'm in a happy place in life, and so are my kids. I'm glad to show them a healthy co-parenting relationship."
Jenelle, who is also a mother to sons Jace, 16, with ex-partner Andrew Lewis, and Kaiser, 11, with ex-partner Nathan Griffith, noted, "I always strive to have a good relationship with my exes for my children's sake."
The 34-year-old's latest comments paint a vastly different picture than what she portrayed of her interactions with David, 37, just a few months ago. In October, when asked if she had been in contact with her ex during an Instagram Stories Q&A, she replied, "F--k no." At the time, she didn't seem optimistic about David trying to reach out. "Idk and Idc," she wrote. "He's obviously the same person I left."
Following Jenelle and David's breakup in 2024, the reality star had to endure a yearlong separation period, as required in North Carolina, before filing for divorce. So by the time she was able to proceed with ending the marriage, she was eager for a fresh start. "I'm moving on to a new chapter in my life," she told E! News in June. "Moving on from negative energy and trying to find myself again, learn to be alone, and have this time to myself and my kids."
