Two of Netflix's most esteemed creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, appear to be steering towards a new horizon at Paramount. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the dynamic duo is reportedly in negotiations for a comprehensive deal with the studio. Since the debut of "Stranger Things" in 2016, which instantly catapulted the Duffers into the elite ranks of showbiz, the series has shone as a cornerstone of Netflix's streaming empire.

This potential shift would reunite the Duffers with Cindy Holland, their former ally at Netflix who played a pivotal role in championing "Stranger Things." Now at the helm of streaming operations at Paramount, Holland's involvement hints at a continuation of their successful partnership, albeit one that would also encompass theatrical feature films.

Regardless of whether the deal is sealed, it underscores a bold move by the newly Skydance-owned Paramount, especially in the wake of David Ellison's recent takeover. On Wednesday, the CEO emphasized, "Our foremost priority is to reinstate Paramount as the preeminent destination for the world's most gifted artists and filmmakers."

Adding to the allure, Matt Thunell, who heads the nascent Paramount TV Studios, has a history of collaboration with the Duffers from their Netflix days.

Meanwhile, the final chapter of "Stranger Things" unravels in a trilogy of drops, with the initial quartet of episodes premiering on November 26th, followed by a trio on Christmas Day, and culminating in a New Year's Eve finale.
