'The Gentlemen' Gets Season 2 Renewal at Netflix 1

The inaugural season of 'The Gentlemen' introduced us to James's charismatic Eddie Horniman, who found himself unexpectedly elevated to the position of the Duke of Halstead, inheriting a sprawling country estate fraught with secrets. At the heart of these secrets lay an illicit weed farm, masterminded by the ruthless Susie (Scodelario) and her crime lord father, Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone). Eddie, reluctantly transformed into a gentlemanly gangster, forged an unlikely alliance with Susie as they navigated the treacherous waters of a cutthroat business world filled with rival and comical gangster clans.

The upcoming second season, penned by Ritchie and Matthew Read, promises to be a blood-pumping continuation, kicking off with Eddie and Susie at the helm of a colossal weed empire, surrounded by ravenous adversaries. Filming is set to commence in 2025, promising a visual feast and heart-stopping drama.

Speaking to Netflix's Tudum, James offered insight into the evolving bond between his character and his criminal counterpart, Susie: "Their relationship has blossomed into a unique love, but trust remains elusive due to their profound differences and disparate backgrounds. There's an undeniable affection between them, yet they're forever bound by the fabric of their disparate worlds."

'The Gentlemen' boasts an impressive executive producer line-up, including Ritchie himself, alongside Will Gould, Read, Frith Tiplady, Marc Helwig, and Ivan Atkinson. The series, a collaborative effort between Moonage Pictures, Netflix, and Miramax Television, is poised to captivate audiences once again with its intricate plotlines, charismatic characters, and heart-stopping action.
