Kid LAROI seems to be navigating a significant shift in his personal life. Amidst rumors circulating that he and Tate McRae, who made their romance Instagram official in 2024, have parted ways, the artist behind the hit "What's the Move?" addressed a fan's accusation, suggesting that he and his team were implicitly casting a negative light on Tate online. On July 25th, he penned an emphatic message, stating, "So, you all know I have NOTHING to do with this, and I absolutely DO NOT condone such behavior in any capacity. I'm actively working to have these posts removed."
Alongside his message, the 21-year-old shared a screenshot of apparent text exchanges between him and his team members, urging them to unravel the situation. His text read, "Tate and I are on good terms," seemingly acknowledging their separation from the "Sports Car" crooner, "and all this drama just looks messy and out of place."
LAROI's recent social media post follows just a month after he offered a glimpse into his bond with the 22-year-old Tate. "She’s the hardest-working artist I’ve ever encountered in my life," he revealed to Elle in June. "And I say this not merely because she’s my girlfriend." He elaborated, "Witnessing her relentless dedication inspires and spurs me on to match her stride. There’s something incredibly motivating—and undeniably captivating—about that."
As for Tate, she previously opened up about collaborating with him on the single "I Know Love." "It was such a humorous process because Laroi and I had never really taken each other seriously before," she joked to Billboard in February. "You know how it is when you’re in a relationship and you sing casually around each other, but not really, like, singing? So, it was a bit stressful being in the studio, singing and writing in front of him, but it was fascinating to observe his creative process up close."
