Walton Goggins candidly confessed to revealing the climactic twist of "The White Lotus" to his spouse, Nadia Conners. During a guest appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers," the actor, who portrayed the vengeance-driven Rick Hatchett in the hit series, disclosed that he staging a solo reenactment of the show's final minute in front of his wife, three weeks prior to its HBO premiere. This poignant sequence featured a shooting spree culminating in the tragic demise of Rick's devoted girlfriend, Chelsea (played by Aimee Lou Wood). In his dying breaths, Rick solemnly bore his lifeless beloved away from the scene, ultimately succumbing to his own fatal wound, both ending up adrift in a watery grave.

"I kept it a secret from everyone," Goggins shared with Meyers, referring to the intense final scenes. "But around three weeks before the episode aired, the anticipation was overwhelming me to the point of anxiety. My wife was visiting me in Los Angeles, so I made the impromptu decision to recreate the final 30 minutes of the show for her, down to every last detail. Mind you, I didn't have much dialogue to speak of."

Goggins elaborated that his anxiety about the finale reached a crescendo, leading him to break down at his wife's urging. "She said, 'You've been holding this in for too long, you need to let it out,'" the actor recounted. "What brought me immense relief was seeing her tears; she became engrossed in the characters and the moment, fully comprehending the significance of that final scene. Rick carrying Chelsea in his arms, he would have walked for eternity."

Goggins wasn't the sole "White Lotus" star to violate the show's non-disclosure agreement (NDA) by spilling the finale secrets. Actor Sam Nivola, who embodied Lochlan Ratliff in the series, admitted to disclosing to several individuals that his character narrowly survived the explosive season—thanks in part to a treacherous blender incident.

"I told my parents, but I kept it from my sister because she's terrible at keeping secrets," Nivola confessed to Variety in an interview in March. "I shared it with my girlfriend [Iris Apatow] because she was with me during the filming." "Technically, I wasn't supposed to tell anyone due to the strict NDAs I'm under," Nivola added, a hint of fear creeping into his voice. "I'm genuinely terrified of being sued by HBO."
