Emilie Kiser yearns for the solace of private mourning following the heart-wrenching loss of her cherished son. Almost fourteen days after the tragic demise of her and her husband Brady Kiser's three-year-old boy, Trigg Kiser, who succumbed to injuries sustained from an accidental drowning in their backyard pool, Emilie, a popular TikTok personality, disclosed further poignant details about the incident in a lawsuit filed against Maricopa County public offices on May 27.
NBC News obtained the court documents, wherein Emilie's attorney poignantly elaborated on the influencer's unimaginable grief stemming from the "devastating and accidental drowning." The lawsuit reverberated with emotion, stating, "Emilie is enduring a parent's darkest nightmare; she has lost her innocent young son." It further conveyed, "Emilie strives tirelessly to provide solace to her remaining son, Theodore, who is just two months old. Yet, each passing day is an arduous battle."
In her plea, she earnestly requested the court to shield the public from the harrowing details surrounding Trigg's demise, emphasizing that such disclosure would constitute an "unparalleled violation of her privacy."
Reacting to the lawsuit, Maricopa County's Office of the Medical Examiner, as conveyed by Jason Berry, the director of communications for Maricopa County to NBC News on May 29, stated that they "collaborated with the family to place a seal on the record" upon learning that the family was seeking a court order to prevent the release of these sensitive records.
On May 12, the Chandler Police Department responded to a drowning emergency at the family's Arizona home, where Trigg was found unconscious after being pulled out of the backyard pool. Upon their arrival, police and firefighters administered CPR promptly before transporting the toddler to Chandler Regional Hospital, and later to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Sadly, within a week, local authorities confirmed that Trigg had passed away from his injuries, assuring that they were actively investigating the matter.
In a statement to E! News on May 19, Sonu Wasu, a spokesperson for the Chandler Police Department, expressed heartfelt condolences to the family, stating, "Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the child's family and loved ones during this inconceivable time. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident is ongoing; it remains an open case."
In the weeks preceding Trigg's passing, Emilie had shared heartwarming glimpses of her life as a mother through various snapshots capturing her cherishable moments with her children. In one of the endearing montages, Emilie sat on a picnic blanket outdoors, cradling her youngest son, Theodore, while Trigg approached to plant a loving kiss on her cheek. Another clip showed Emilie beaming with pride as her husband playfully lifted Trigg into the air. "Perspective: the indescribable joy of being a mother," Emilie captioned the heartwarming Instagram post on May 11, adding, "Forever grateful for the blessing of being a momma."
Last month, the lifestyle blogger also shared a snippet of her daily routine as a mother of two. "I thought it would be delightful to document a little night vlog showcasing our new normal—raising two kids," Emilie said in an Instagram video posted on April 3. In the video, she nursed Theodore and tucked him in for the night before taking Trigg out for a swim, adding, "Saying that feels surreal."
