Timothée Chalamet took a moment to honor his long-term partner, Kylie Jenner, as he accepted the Critics Choice Award for his portrayal of aspiring ping-pong champion Marty Mauser in "Marty Supreme." As he accepted the Best Actor trophy, he said, "Thank you to my partner for three years. I love you. I couldn't have done this without you." He added, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart." When the camera cut to Jenner, she mouthed "I love you" in response.

During his speech, the actor also acknowledged his fellow nominees. Chalamet was nominated alongside Leonardo DiCaprio for "One Battle After Another," Joel Edgerton for "Train Dreams," Ethan Hawke for "Blue Moon," Michael B. Jordan for "Sinners," and Wagner Moura for "The Secret Agent." After hesitating, Chalamet admitted, "I'm more nervous than I thought I'd be." He then went on to thank Josh Safdie, who co-wrote and directed the movie. "You made a story about a flawed man with a relatable dream, and you didn't preach to the audience about what's right and wrong. I think we should all be telling stories like that," he said. "Thank you for this dream."
Earlier in the night, "Hacks" stars Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs walked the carpet in matching bright orange vinyl ensembles, paying homage to Jenner and Chalamet's outfits at the premiere of the A24 film.
"Marty Supreme" premiered on Christmas Day, debuting at No. 3 in North America behind "Avatar: Fire and Ash" ($64 million) and "Zootopia 2" ($20 million), making $17 million over the traditional weekend.
