Tom Holland is swinging back to full health with remarkable vigor. Just one week after sustaining a mild concussion on the set of *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*—the highly anticipated fourth installment of his Spider-Man franchise—in Glasgow, Scotland, the 29-year-old actor took to Instagram on September 27 to share a heartfelt update on his well-being. His post coincided with a recap of a charity event hosted by his nonprofit, The Brothers Trust, in London.
"I’m sorry I had to leave early, but I’m feeling much better and am on the mend," Tom wrote, accompanying his message with a highlight video of the fundraiser. "A huge thanks to my Dad for stepping in after I departed. The show got considerably funnier," he quipped with a touch of humor.
The charity event, which unfolded the day after Tom’s September 19 injury, was a star-studded affair. Alongside his parents and brothers—Sam Holland, Harry Holland, and Paddy Holland—Tom’s fiancée Zendaya and their co-star Jacob Batalon were in attendance, lending their support to the cause.
Despite his concussion briefly sidelining him from filming the new Spider-Man movie—which will also feature Sadie Sink from *Stranger Things* and Liza Colón-Zayas from *The Bear*—Tom has been vocal about his excitement to return to his iconic role. He described the experience as akin to "hanging out with an old pal," expressing particular enthusiasm given the constraints of the previous film. "I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of Covid. We shot the entire film on stages," he told *Flip Your Wig* in July.
"Now, we’re really gonna lean into that old-school filmmaking and shoot in real locations," he continued with evident passion. "That’s why we’re starting in Glasgow, and we’re gonna use the streets of Glasgow to build this massive set-piece that we’re putting together. So it’s gonna feel like making *Spider-Man 1* again."
While stepping into Peter Parker’s shoes is familiar territory for Tom, he admitted that this new installment holds a special place in his heart. "It’s funny, putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow," he shared in a behind-the-scenes video posted to the movie’s official Instagram last month. "It’s also the first time we ever had fans on set day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them."
He concluded with a mix of determination and humility, "We’ve got some familiar faces on set. I’m just going to do my best, hopefully get it right, no pressure."
