Toni Braxton is hoping to mend the hearts of her devoted fans once again. After the "He Wasn't Man Enough" singer took the stage during the New Edition Way Tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on March 22nd, she was forced to leave the concert just two songs into her usual nine-track set.
"My loves, I am so sorry I wasn't able to finish the show last night," Toni wrote on her Instagram Stories on March 23rd. "I had an unexpected personal emergency and had no choice but to step away."
"You deserved my everything, and I hate that I couldn't give it to you," she continued. "I feel your love from here. Thank you for understanding."

Although the 58-year-old, who has been touring with New Edition and Boyz II Men since January, didn't share further details about cutting her performance short, she has previously discussed how touring can be challenging for her. Since being diagnosed with lupus in 2008, Toni has spoken openly about navigating her health struggles while performing. And it took a toll on the Grammy winner, who underwent emergency heart surgery in 2022, ahead of her 2024 Las Vegas residency.
"I've been feeling OK, that's been the anxiety, just making sure I'm ready," she told People in May. "My doctor said I'm ready to go. I got checked off, everything's good, but there is a little anxiety performing and having that health scare. But the man upstairs said it's going to be OK, so I know I'm going to be alright."
It's taken time for Toni—who shares kids Denim, 24, and Diezel, 22, with ex-husband Keri Lewis—to accept her new normal.
"Some days I am not positive," she told Interview magazine in 2018. "Some days, I am mad that I'm ill. But today's a good day. And I'm going to thank you for being patient. I know my body and sometimes I push it more than I should."
"I think all artists do that, whether they're sick or not or have an ailment," she continued. "I just know that I have to remind myself to pace it. I have to just pace it just for me and everything will be okay. It works much better if I do that."
