On Monday night, the New York Knicks' triumph over the Miami Heat with a score of 116-95 was momentarily halted for approximately ten minutes due to an unexpected incident involving Tracy Morgan. The seasoned actor and comedian, who was enjoying the game courtside at Madison Square Garden, suddenly fell ill and vomited onto the court. As a result, Morgan was eventually wheeled out of the arena in a wheelchair.

The next morning, Morgan shared a hospital snapshot on his Instagram, reassuring fans that he was "doing alright" and had suffered from food poisoning. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the MSG staff for their prompt assistance and gave a shout-out to "the diligent crew that had to clean up the mess." Furthermore, he added with a hint of humor, "More crucially, the Knicks boast a perfect 1-0 record whenever I throw up on the court. Perhaps, I should consider making this my good luck charm for the playoffs. #goknicks."

The delay, undoubtedly one of the most peculiar in recent NBA annals, stretched on for nearly ten minutes, yet the game seamlessly resumed thereafter without any hitches. Morgan, a veteran of "Saturday Night Live" and most famously remembered for portraying Tracy Jordan alongside Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey in the NBC hit "30 Rock," is a lifelong Knicks enthusiast, hailing from the Bronx. Now 56, his life has been marked by several significant health battles, including a kidney transplant in 2010 and a harrowing two-week coma following a car accident in 2014.

On Monday, despite the brief interruption, the Knicks had little trouble besting the Heat. Having dug themselves into a double-digit deficit in the opening quarter, they erupted for a 41-15 run in the third, coasting to a comfortable 21-point victory. Mikal Bridges spearheaded the charge with 28 points, propelling the Knicks to a 43-24 record on the season. Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 23 points and seven rebounds.

Next up for the Knicks: a Wednesday night clash against the San Antonio Spurs in Texas.
