Travis Kelce Jokes Taylor Swift Is "Gonna Kill Me" Over This Fumble

Travis Kelce candidly confessed to having committed a faux pas. While recording an episode of his "New Heights" podcast at his home, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end accidentally shattered a chair. He quipped that he hoped his fiancée, Taylor Swift, wouldn't discover his latest mishap. In a preview for the upcoming February 4th episode, Travis leaned back in his chair as he laughed at one of his brother and co-host, Jason Kelce's jokes. The seat then tipped backwards, making a loud crack before the 36-year-old lost his balance. "Oh s--t!" Jason exclaimed. "Are you alright?" And after regaining his footing, Travis reassured the Philadelphia Eagles alum, "We're good." He jokingly added, "Taylor's gonna kill me."

This wasn't the first time Travis had found himself in trouble with the "Karma" singer. In January, the NFL star quipped that "Taylor’s going to kill me" after not getting a reference to her 2025 song "Wood," which is said to be about Travis' manhood. "It's a 'Life of a Showgirl' reference, boys, come on," New Heights producer Brandon Borders told the Kelce brothers, after a fan expressed disappointment that none of the podcast's new merch read, "New Heights of Man-Hoodie." "The lyric, 'New Heights of manhood,' it's the time we were referenced in the album," Brandon continued. While Jason reasoned he's "not as good with the Easter eggs as these Swifties," Travis simply admitted, "I didn’t understand that."

But that's not to say Travis hasn't picked up on all the double entendres in the track. After all, he is not looking forward to the day dad Ed Kelce hears "Wood," in which Taylor sings about how "love was the key that opened my thighs." As Travis put it during an October episode of New Heights, "Dude, I'm terrified." Still, the athlete thinks it's "a great song." "I love that girl," Travis said of Taylor, adding that he's honored by "any song that she would reference me in."
