Troubled Former Child Star Joins OnlyFans—But Not for the Reasons You Might Think

It's been quite some time since we've caught a glimpse of Amanda Bynes, the actress who once graced our screens with her radiant presence. Having spent the prime of her youth shining brightly under the camera's gaze, the now 39-year-old has traversed a far more arduous path over the past two decades.

After publicly announcing her hiatus from acting in 2010, the star of 'She's the Man' encountered a series of highly publicized setbacks, grappling with mental health challenges and other issues that ultimately led to her being placed under conservatorship from August 2013 to March 2022.

In the early months of 2024, Bynes made a thrilling announcement—she was joining Cameo, a platform that would allow her to reconnect with her loyal fans and offer them guidance in life. And now, she's set to take this engagement a step further, with the recent revelation that she's established an OnlyFans page. But hold your horses; it's not what you might be thinking!

Through an Instagram Story, Bynes broke the news, sharing a snapshot of her OnlyFans page. She was quick to clarify her intentions behind this new venture: to forge genuine connections with her fans, and nothing more.

"I'm now on OnlyFans," she penned, followed by this reassuring disclaimer: "I'm doing OnlyFans to chat with my fans through direct messages. No sleazy content will be posted. I'm thrilled to be joining."

The subscription fee to follow Bynes stands at $50 per month, a relatively steep price point for the platform, especially considering her commitment to keeping it family-friendly.

Her last cinematic appearance was in 2010's 'Easy A', opposite Emma Stone, directed by Will Gluck. It's uncertain whether something on the film's set soured her love for acting, but shortly after wrapping up, she tweeted: "Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem. If I don't love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it. I know 24 is young to retire, but you heard it here first. I've #retired." Just a month later, she tweeted that she had "unretired."

In the years that followed, Bynes' name frequently made tabloid headlines, especially after her DUI arrest in 2012 and other legal entanglements. In December 2023, she launched a podcast, 'Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast,' but after just one episode, she departed to pursue her dreams of attending cosmetology school and becoming a manicurist.
