Vanessa Bryant has apparently put an end to online rumors about a nonexistent pregnancy. On Sunday, June 1, the 43-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to post a meme featuring Rihanna, who was joyfully bouncing in the water with a snorkel mask perched atop her forehead, holding a beverage, and flipping the middle finger. The accompanying caption read, "Me safeguarding my tranquility, not pregnant, and enjoying every moment of this summer." This revelation came amidst whispers on the internet that suggested the widow of NBA icon Kobe Bryant was anticipating her fifth child.

Later in the evening on Sunday, additional Instagram Stories further highlighted Vanessa's current mindset. One post featured a heartfelt excerpt from a self-improvement and motivation Instagram account. It stated, "The sole way to impress me is by being a virtuous person. I am indifferent to your possessions, attire, residence, or vehicle. I hold profound respect for individuals with genuine hearts and noble intentions."

A third Story displayed another meme featuring Rihanna, 37, with the caption, "I'm not malicious; I'm just not your person."

Vanessa, who was married to Kobe from 2001 until his untimely demise in 2020, is the proud mother of four children: Natalia, 22, Bianka, 8, Capri, 5, and the late Gianna, who also passed away in 2020. The businesswoman and philanthropist provided fans with a glimpse into how tightly-knit her family remains over time by sharing a video from a winter vacation with Natalia, Bianka, and Capri at the end of December 2024. In the footage, the girls were seen skiing down the slopes and posing in front of Christmas trees, savoring their winter paradise.

Vanessa also posted photographs that captured the family's trip to Disneyland the previous year.

On April 6, the sporting community honored the rising star in women's basketball, Gianna, after Connecticut's UConn Huskies celebrated their victory in the women's NCAA basketball championship. Vanessa shared an Instagram note about the team's triumph, mentioning her late daughter. "Gigi would've absolutely loved being there with you," the mother penned on her Instagram Stories. "When you think you can't, remember UConn ~ Gianna Bryant." She also tagged UConn head coach Geno Auriemma and congratulated him on the championship win, marking the school's 12th national title and the first since 2016.

Tragically, Kobe and Gianna were among the nine individuals who lost their lives in a helicopter crash in January 2020. Kobe was 41 years old, and Gianna was just 13.
