Victoria Beckham has recently revealed a heart-wrenching truth about her childhood struggles with learning disorder, dyscalculia, which was not recognized during her formative years. During her appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast on October 22nd, the fashion designer opened up about the excruciating ordeal she endured in her youth.

"I was a shy and awkward child," she shared, "and I struggled academically immensely." The 51-year-old former Spice Girls member confessed to being "self-diagnosed dyslexic" and suffering from "dyscalculia," which, according to the Cleveland Clinic, is a learning disorder that affects the brain's ability to handle math and number-related skills and understanding.

Victoria recounted how she was labeled "thick" due to continuous bullying. "When I went to college, I was told I wasn't good enough, that I didn't look right. I was even told I was too fat to be on the stage," she explained. These experiences gave her a "thick skin" that she later attributed to preparing her for the public scrutiny she would face in her career.

But her struggles didn't end with academics. She also mentioned that she didn't fit in socially because "when all the other kids were smoking and hanging out after school, I was going to dancing lessons or drama lessons." Her physical appearance didn't help either; she had "awful acne," "very limp hair," and was bullied both physically and mentally at school.

Victoria admitted that her entire school experience was "miserable" and how it impacted her mental health. "I internalized all of that and it made me more and more shy," she continued. However, she also noted that this experience toughened her up and prepared her for the public bullying she would face from the media.

In a way, her childhood struggles became a crucible that forged her into the resilient and confident individual she is today.
