On Friday night, the family of Academy Award-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones acknowledged the tragic passing of his daughter, Victoria Jones. The 34-year-old was discovered dead at the San Francisco Fairmont Hotel on Thursday, and the authorities have yet to determine the cause of death.
In response to inquiries about the reports of her death, a representative for Tommy Lee Jones shared a statement from Victoria's family on Friday. "We are deeply grateful for all the kind words, thoughts, and prayers during this difficult time," the statement read. "Please respect our privacy as we mourn the loss of our beloved daughter."
The San Francisco Fire Department reported that they responded to a medical emergency at the Fairmont Hotel, located at 950 Mason St., just before 3 a.m. on Thursday. Paramedics declared the person deceased and called in the police department and medical examiner to take over the case.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner subsequently identified the deceased as Victoria Jones. However, they have not released the cause and manner of her death.
The San Francisco Fairmont Hotel issued a statement expressing their "deep sadness" over the incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. The hotel is cooperating with police within the framework of the ongoing investigation.
The San Francisco Police Department has not yet responded to a request for more information.
Victoria Jones was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. She acted alongside her father as a child and teenager, including in the film "Men in Black II."
Tommy Lee Jones, 79, won an Oscar for his supporting role in "The Fugitive" in 1994. He has also appeared in films such as "JFK," "Lincoln," and "No Country for Old Men."
