The San Francisco Fire Department reported that they responded to a medical emergency at the Fairmont Hotel, located at 950 Mason St., just before 3 a.m. on Thursday. Paramedics declared the person deceased and called in the police department and medical examiner to take over the case.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner subsequently identified the deceased as Victoria Jones. However, they have not released the cause and manner of her death.
The San Francisco Fairmont Hotel issued a statement expressing their "deep sadness" over the incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. The hotel is cooperating with police within the framework of the ongoing investigation.
The San Francisco Police Department has not yet responded to a request for more information.
Victoria Jones was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. She acted alongside her father as a child and teenager, including in the film "Men in Black II."
