Alix Earle is on a steep learning curve as she masters the art of the tango. With rehearsals for *Dancing With the Stars* now in full swing, the 24-year-old has turned to her boyfriend, Braxton Berrios, for emotional support, revealing that she’s feeling “a little bruised and beaten up” from the demands of her new venture.
“I had a breakdown with Braxton the other night,” Alix confided to *E! News* in an exclusive interview on September 7 at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, hosted by LL Cool J at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. “I was like, ‘Braxton, I don’t think I can pull off being sexy. I don’t even know where to start. I need your help.’”
The TikTok sensation, who began dating the NFL star in March 2023, is deeply grateful for his unwavering support. “He’s been amazing,” Alix gushed. “I FaceTime him every single day, whenever I get a chance. He’s always there for me, and I’m here for him too. Our schedules are absolutely insane right now, but it’s been incredible to lean on each other and find moments to connect.”
What’s more, Braxton’s athletic background means he’s well-versed in handling the specific aches and pains she’s enduring. “I didn’t anticipate being sore in the places I am,” Alix explained with a laugh. “I can’t even sleep on a pillow because my neck is so stiff. My feet look like they’ve been through a warzone.”
Despite the physical and emotional strain of the competition, Alix is thriving among the star-studded Season 34 cast, which includes Hilaria Baldwin, Jen Affleck from *Secret Lives of Mormon Wives*, and Whitney Leavitt. “It feels like I’m at this massive dance camp,” she shared enthusiastically. “It’s been an absolute blast. I wake up every morning buzzing with excitement to get there and keep learning.”
She added, “I’m improving a little bit each day, and seeing that progress is incredibly rewarding. On day one, I was like, ‘Oh my god, can I even do this?’ But now, it’s just been an amazing experience.”
