While Lucci would undoubtedly be a captivating addition to any television show, it would have been an odd choice for the series to veer towards the celebrity route before it had even taken its first steps. Especially considering the immense success of its predecessor, The Golden Bachelor, which featured ordinary people. That season also boasted a diverse and intriguing pool of potential Bachelorettes, including the ultimate pick, Joan Vassos.
Perhaps the call Lucci mentioned was actually an invitation to appear as a celebrity guest during the season. Like when Billy Eichner made a memorable appearance on The Bachelor and boldly predicted Colton Underwood's sexuality, or when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar judged the basketball skills of Rachel Lindsay's men. Maybe there's even a soap opera-themed group date on the horizon? So, while Lucci won't be the one handing out roses this season, perhaps if she's offered the opportunity 19 times, she'll finally take it.
