On the night of the 2026 Grammys, Cardi B was the embodiment of the antithesis of "outside." The "ErrTime" singer was notably absent from the Crypto.com Arena ceremony on February 1st, and for good reason. Despite being nominated for Best Rap Performance for her single "Outside," the 33-year-old opted to stay at home.
During the telecast, Cardi provided her fans with an update on her status through a mirror selfie from her bathroom. In her Instagram Stories photo, she kept it cozy and casual in a tank top and pajama pants, enjoying all the comforts of home as she prepared for her Little Miss Drama tour. She wrote alongside her photo, "Imma miss my brib [sic]."

Although she didn't make a return to the ceremony—where Clipse alongside Pharrell and Kendrick Lamar ultimately won Best Rap Performance—Cardi still had a banner weekend. Indeed, the "Money" rapper made her way back to Saturday Night Live for the first time since 2018.
Despite not having the chance to showcase her style on the Grammys red carpet, Cardi—who welcomed her first child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs in November—wore not one, but two head-turning looks during her performances. Paying homage to her Dominican roots, the "I Like It" singer wore a custom Candice Cuoco folkloric dress that donned the colors of the Dominican flag for her performance of "Bodega Baddie" and a black leather body suit with piercing accents by Bryan Hearns for her "ErrTime" performance.
While she sat out of music's biggest night, Cardi still had plenty to celebrate as her boyfriend Stefon and the New England Patriots prepared to take on the Seattle Seahawks during Super Bowl LX on February 8th. Cardi—who also shares kids Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 16 months, with estranged husband Offset—was on hand to watch her boyfriend punch his ticket to the big game on January 25th.
After showing off some sweet PDA in honor of Stefon's milestone, Cardi doted on her man's big accomplishment. "I'm feeling very excited, very happy for him, very proud of him," she told the NFL network on January 25th after the Patriots secured their trip. Having watched his progress as he rebounded from an October 2024 ACL tear, "I'm very excited for him," she added. "Very excited for the whole team, they've been working their butts off."
Not that the "Up" rapper has had much downtime herself. "I brought new music and a new album to the world!" she wrote on Instagram on November 13th. "A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve."
And no matter if the 33-year-old or her partner, 32, add to their trophy case this month, they certainly feel as if they're winning. "My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons," she continued. "My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it's been so worth it!"
Of course, Cardi isn't the only one taking to the proverbial field of play. Check out all of the stars on the red carpet at the Grammys.
