Sam Nivola, who shot to fame after his portrayal in the third season of 'The White Lotus', has openly voiced his unvarnished critique of the legends of old Hollywood. The 21-year-old actor, who charmed audiences as Lochlan Ratliff in the enigmatic murder mystery drama, asserts that seasoned performers have inadvertently become roadblocks, impeding the radiant ascent of young talent.

Nivola contends that these veteran actors, armed with plastic surgeries and other aesthetic enhancements, have unnaturally prolonged their screen careers, dominating the limelight regardless of their advancing years. He elucidates that budding stars rarely see the light of day in today's industry because these aging actors continue to defy time, retaining a youthful appearance.

"Here you have these individuals, well into their twilight years, yet still cast in roles meant for the young. This leaves no room for the up-and-coming generation to step into the spotlight and carve their niche," Nivola lamented. "With all the respect due to these legends, one day they won't be physically present anymore, and new stars will inevitably need to be minted," he further added.

When asked to name a contemporary young movie star, Nivola singles out Timothée Chalamet, stating, "I believe Timothée Chalamet stands among the finest actors alive today, and he's a bona fide star." He muses, "He's one of the rare examples that readily come to mind. But he embodies a different breed of movie star; he's not bulked up or overly imposing. He bears a slight resemblance to me," he jokes, appending, "I wish I could say the same!"
