Why Alix Earle Thought She Was Being Kidnapped During Cringe-Worthy First Date

Alix Earle wanted to keep the search for her new dance partner alive. Two days after confessing her nervousness about going on a first date following her breakup with Braxton Berrios, the Dancing With the Stars alum detailed an unsatisfactory experience that she was "frightened" to share online.

In an April 8 TikTok video, Alix explained that she and her mystery man, who had slid into her DMs, got off on the wrong foot when he picked her up 30 minutes late and immediately wanted to get a snack from Starbucks. The pair then started driving toward Malibu, where he had made dinner reservations for... four hours later. However, Alix started to feel truly spooked when she realized they had driven beyond Malibu.

"I was like, 'This feels like we're getting far away.' So, I was like, 'Where are you going?'" she said in the video. "He was like, 'I don't have a plan. I'm just driving.'"

Noting her lack of familiarity with her date, the 25-year-old added, "So, then my mind goes to, 'Oh my God, I'm being kidnapped.'"

"I was like, 'I think we need to turn around,'" she recalled, "because at this point, for some reason, I was really scared."

In fact, she said, "There was a point during this date where I swear to God, I turned green and almost passed out because I seriously thought I was getting kidnapped."

Alas, Alix's date turned the car around and the pair headed to a beach where—instead of walking around as the man had originally said—they sat on rocks and chatted for a bit before heading to the restaurant.

After a failed attempt to get into the restaurant early, the TikToker said her date surprised her with an unexpected question.

"He turns to me and was like, 'So, do you do OnlyFans?'" she said. "And I was like, 'What?' No shade to anyone that does, but I was like, 'I just told you what I did for the past three hours.'"

Despite the awkward conversations, Alix and her date were able to get a quick dinner at a sushi restaurant, but on their way home experienced one final mishap.

"He kept doing the thing where he speeds up really fast in the car," she explained. "And we had our coffees from Starbucks in the seat—it flies on me, spills on my white dress."

While Alix—who sparked romance rumors with Tom Brady in January—assured her followers that her date was "really sweet" and she wasn't trying to "bash him," she ultimately decided she isn't willing to put up with poor planning skills in the future.

"I'm not doing that again," she said. "If you're taking me out, you're sending me a full itinerary—start to finish."

Reacting to the horrific date, Starbucks chimed in in the comments section, writing, "We've seen a lot of first dates but yikes." Meanwhile, Dunkin quipped, "Please tell him to call us next time he tries to plan a date."
