Candace Cameron Bure holds a distinctive rationale for prohibiting her family from immersing themselves in the chills of horror movies within the confines of their home. The seasoned actress from the beloved series "Full House," who has always been unwavering in her expression of a profound Christian faith, recently delved into her insights on horror cinema during a captivating episode of "The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast.""As a mother in our household, I often get teased by my family when I bring up—well, they rib me constantly, but especially when I'm serious about spiritual matters," she clarified, with a hint of amusement. She then recounted how her children, Natasha, Lev, and Maksim, along with her husband, Valeri Bure, "chuckle at me over this notion of a portal." She elaborated, saying, "I’ll be like, 'You're actually creating a portal!' when they roll their eyes."

Elaborating further on her "portal" theory, Bure said, "Imagine watching such a movie, engaging in a video game, or anything of the sort; it’s like inviting entities through a door right into our home. I’m even hesitant to let anyone watch a horror film on our TV, because to me, it’s akin to opening such a portal."

Acknowledging the irony in her stance, given her lifelong career in acting and her intimate understanding of filmmaking, Bure admitted, "I’m embedded in the film industry. I know how it all unfolds—a team of 200 people, lights, sound effects, makeup artists, camera operators, actors, and more. Yet, there’s something eerily demonic that can permeate even through such meticulously crafted works."

Later in the podcast, joined by her son Lev and Texas-based pastor Jonathan Pokluda, Bure expressed similar sentiments towards other entities that evoke the same chilling vibe as horror films, citing the example of the canned water brand Liquid Death. "That reminds me of something you posted earlier about Liquid Death," she recalled to Pokluda. "You had asked, 'Would you really want to purchase a product that’s seemingly cursed as it’s being distributed?'"
