Why Clavicular Says He “Can’t IRL Stream” Anymore After Overdose

On Tuesday night, Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, was hospitalized after a suspected overdose. Just hours after being released, he returned to livestreaming. The "looksmaxxing" influencer and streamer informed his fans on Kick Wednesday that he would no longer be able to engage in In-Real-Life (IRL) streaming due to his recent ordeal.

"I won't be doing any more substances for a while, hopefully forever," he said. "But that means I can't IRL stream anymore. I really can't IRL stream because, as you guys know, I'm quite rude without that stuff."

He continued, "So I think I have to figure something else out. Fuck. I have to figure out a new method. Either practice mogging sober or just find a new form of content. I don't know. It's fucking done for."

The incident occurred during Clavicular's livestream at a mall and restaurant in Miami on Kick Tuesday night. After his stream was abruptly cut off, videos began circulating on X showing him being carried by multiple people to an ambulance. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that he was in "stable condition" once he arrived at the hospital.

The following morning, after being released, Clavicular took to X to speak out for the first time since the overdose. "Just got home, that was brutal," he wrote. "All of the substances were just a coping mechanism to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn't a real solution. The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask."

Clavicular gained recognition for his self-obsession with being aesthetically pleasing and for promoting extreme "looksmaxxing" - an online trend focused on maximizing physical attractiveness that ranges from healthy grooming to dangerous practices such as bone-smashing with a hammer to enhance facial features, which Clavicular has advocated.

Earlier this week, the controversial streamer made headlines when he walked out of a 60 Minutes Australia interview after correspondent Adam Hegarty asked him if he identifies as an incel and about his connection to Andrew Tate. Clavicular clearly got defensive with the line of questioning and tried to suggest the interviewer was a cuckold.

Clavicular has also found himself in legal trouble as he is reportedly being investigated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for a video appearing to show him shooting an alligator. He was also arrested last month in Florida on misdemeanor battery charges after authorities issued a warrant for his arrest, alleging that he provoked a fight between two women and exploited them by posting it online, as reported by The New York Times.
