Dax Shepard, a man preparing for a colonoscopy, has been sharing an entertaining glimpse into his pre-procedure lifestyle. As his wife of 12 years, Kristen Bell, took the stage at the Actor’s Awards as the host, Dax chose to skip the March 1 ceremony. Instead, he shared a screenshot of a conversation reminding him to only consume liquids until his March 2 colonoscopy. In response, he quipped, “I’m currently eating a stack smothered in seeds and nuts.”
The actor, who shares Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 9, with Kristen, made it explicitly clear what he was heading into by writing, “#colonoscopyprep” alongside the screenshot.
For Kristen, this was her third time hosting the awards show after leading the charge in 2024 and 2025. She has been trying her hardest to break the habit of referring to the ceremony by its old moniker. “Renaming it is a big thing to apply to the old processor,” she told USA Today in an interview published on Feb. 26. “There’s been a lot of slip-ups. But we politely correct each other when I say the SAG Awards. Nope, it’s now called the Actor Awards.”
Kristen will have enough star power in the room to assist her with this mission. Indeed, ensemble films One Battle After Another and Sinners lead the pack for the most film nominations. And on the television front, Seth Rogen’s The Studio snagged the most nominations. As for the star with the most legendary run? Harrison Ford is set to receive this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Kristen is leading the charge as the ceremony undergoes another big change. This year, some of the biggest names in Hollywood will display their best themed fashion as the ceremony called for a dress code “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the ’20s and ’30s.” In partnership with Elle, the Actors ceremony drew inspiration “from an era defined by cinematic elegance and bold expression.”
