No one, not even the latest celebrity crush in Kristin Cavallari's dating book, shall fill the blank page again. "Brandon Sklenar for me is just...he's so hot and he's that type of guy I want," the Hills alum raved about the It Ends With Us star on the November 11 episode of her podcast Let's Be Honest. "But I think he's in a relationship. And he's an actor, and I would never date an actor."
Cavallari, who is right as Brandon has been dating Courtney Salviolo for years, noted one reason for her aversion to dating actors is their "awful" work schedules. "He's going to be on set," she explained. "Logistically, the scheduling would be a nightmare and he wouldn't be able to travel to me all the time."
And then there's her personal theory about actors. "Typically, actors are very insecure and I think that's why they become actors, because they're seeking outside validation," the 38-year-old hypothesized, adding, "and I think a lot of them can be really cheesy and just a bunch of nerds."
Despite her current stance, Kristin has been romantically linked to actors before, including What I Like About You star Nick Zano. During their reported 2006-2007 romance, the Laguna Beach alum got Nick's initials tattooed on her wrist, though she had the ink removed when they broke up. In 2024, she neither confirmed nor denied a rumor of a past "hookup" with Jason Statham in a social media video with her bestie Justin Anderson.
Kristin has also dated other men involved in the entertainment industry. In the years following her 2020 breakup from ex-husband NFL star Jay Cutler, she dated comedian Jeff Dye and TikToker Mark Estes each for several months. In 2024, she confirmed a past romance with Morgan Wallen, calling the country star a "great f--k buddy."
This past June, the Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour star shared an update about her love life—or rather, lack thereof. "It's nonexistent," the 38-year-old exclusively told E! News co-hosts Justin Sylvester and Keltie Knight. "It's been like that this whole year. It's so funny because everybody thinks that I have this wild, crazy dating life. I actually haven't been on one date this entire year."
Kristin also shared how her and Jay's kids—Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 10—have influenced her dating decisions. "They have very strong opinions, it's so funny," she noted. "And they've only been around one person in the last five years, it was Mark, my ex. But I'm very honest with them and tell them, 'I'm talking to so and so,' and just based off of photos or whatever, they have very strong opinions." She added, "They're more my rules now and they agree with them."
When it comes to finding a new man, Kristin has shared that she's looking for someone older, who's also a dad who lives away from the spotlight. "Someone with kids already, someone not in the public eye would be nice," she said. "I want a normal guy."
