Mariah Carey spilling the beans about her ex-husband Nick Cannon? That's a definite no-go. The Grammy-winning diva, who shares 14-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with the "Masked Singer" host, is determined to keep their worlds firmly separate.
“I kinda feel like it’s best if I don’t talk about him,” Mariah, 56, confessed to Gayle King during a candid Sept. 24 interview on "CBS Mornings" when quizzed about their co-parenting dynamic. “He can just be in his own world. No offense to him,” she added with a diplomatic smile.
Since Mariah and Nick, 44, called it quits on their eight-year marriage in 2016, Nick has embraced fatherhood with open arms, welcoming 10 additional children with five different partners. While Mariah has now closed the chapter on her latest remarks about co-parenting with the "Wild ‘n Out" star, the "Honey" singer recently offered a glimpse into how their arrangement is a boon for their kids.
“How do I say this?” Mariah mused in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar published in July. “They have a blast spending time with him, and they equally enjoy their moments with me.” The "Fantasy" songstress continued, “I strive to always be fair in this situation because it’s never easy growing up with divorced parents.”
Mariah recently gave a peek into just how glamorous things get when she’s hanging out with her daughter. On Aug. 4, in an Instagram post that went viral, Roe teamed up with her mom for an adorable GRWM (Get Ready With Me) session. In the clip, the mother-daughter duo dazzled in matching Versace robes, expertly applying blush and lipstick before striking a pose to showcase their flawless glam and sealing the moment with a sweet kiss.
Nick, not one to miss out on the love, chimed in with a flurry of red flame emojis in the comments, showing his support from afar.
