Jessica Williams stands her ground in the presence of Hollywood legend Harrison Ford. The 36-year-old actress recently revealed the unique strategy she employed to ensure she felt confident while working alongside the iconic film star on their project, "Shrinking."
"I actually imposed a movie blackout on him for a considerable period," Jessica shared with the Associated Press during a joint interview with the 83-year-old actor on the red carpet prior to their Televerse panel on August 15. "I didn't watch any of your films before we began collaborating. I mean, I had seen them before, but I wanted our interaction to be natural. I didn't want to be intimidated by your screen presence, so I avoided any potential awe."
Jessica confirmed that her method had worked, asserting confidently to Harrison, "I'm not scared of you." Harrison agreed, acknowledging with a chuckle, "No, she's not scared of me."
Their playful banter continued throughout the panel. When asked if he ever seeks advice from his costars, Harrison, who is married to Calista Flockhart, quipped, "No, I go home for that stuff! That's where I get my guidance." Jessica chimed in, laughing, "Never in a million years would he do that!"
This wasn't the only amusing moment shared by the dynamic duo this year. Back in February at the SAG Awards, the pair had a memorable on-screen exchange during the "I am an actor" segment. As Jessica appeared on camera, sharing her thoughts on Los Angeles being the city of dreams, Harrison could be seen in the background nonchalantly popping a chip into his mouth before realizing he was also on camera. The audience erupted in laughter, and Jessica, glancing back, exclaimed, "I told him to turn away!" She added with a giggle, "Don't look!"
Jessica has previously provided insight into their bond and the reason behind their seamless collaboration. "We make each other laugh," she told People magazine last November. "I enjoy working with him, and he adores me, just as he loves working with me."
