The Wicked film series is not quite ready for its final bow yet, as Ariana Grande hinted during a Q&A session promoting Wicked: For Good. The film, an adaptation of the second and final act of the Tony-winning stage musical, may not be the end of the story for Ariana and her castmates, including Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey.

"If we've learned anything from Cher, we can count on there always being another farewell tour," she teased during the event in Los Angeles on November 15, as captured on her Instagram page. "So I don't think anyone's going anywhere."
When asked if her statement was confirmation of a third movie in the franchise, the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer played coy, replying, "I don't know."
Regardless of whether the cast reunites for another journey to Oz, Ariana, 32, emphasized that bringing the story of Elphaba and Glinda to the big screen solidified a bond that she and her costars will carry beyond their time working together. "No one's going anywhere," she continued. "We're not saying goodbye to anything. These characters will be a part of our hearts always. They've changed our lives irrevocably and permanently. I'm so grateful for that."
Ariana found a particularly profound connection with Cynthia, 38, explaining that their connection—both onscreen and off—was simply meant to be. "Being able to do it with Cynthia, who I have a lifelong sister in, was absolutely the greatest gift of my life," she gushed. "It couldn't have been anyone else. It was so destined and so incredible, and I'm so grateful for what we have exchanged as well."
The Harriet actress previously echoed her scene partner's sentiment, telling E! News' Will Marfuggi in February, "This film brought us together, but it's not the thing that keeps us together. We were lucky because we got to meet each other on this project, but when the project goes away, we're still good friends. That's still my sister. It's not this that's keeping us together."
