We've already received confirmation that Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher won't reprise their roles as Jackie Burkhart and Michael Kelso in Season 2 of Netflix's hit spinoff, That '90s Show. Now, we're learning that their former That '70s Show costar, Wilmer Valderrama, also won't be returning.

Wilmer Valderrama Explains ‘That ’90s Show’ Season 2 Absence: ‘There’s No Time’ 1

During the 2024 Monte-Carlo Television Festival on June 14th, Valderrama, who made us laugh as Fez on the original Fox sitcom, revealed to People that his filming schedule is already packed to the brim with his role on NCIS. "There's simply no time!" he explained. "We're cranking out nearly 20 episodes per season on NCIS."

Valderrama went on to emphasize that That '90s Show belongs to a new generation of actors - a vibrant cast including Callie Haverda (Leia Forman), Maxwell Acee Donovan (Nate), Mace Coronel (Jay Kelso), Ashley Aufderheide (Gwen Runck), Sam Morelos (Nikki), and Reyn Doi (Ozzie). "This is their show now," he said, referencing his and other '70s Show alums' cameo appearances in Season 1. "It was crucial for us to come and pay homage to their show and have some fun with the legacy we left behind. But more importantly, it's about watching them take the reins and make it their own."

Netflix recently announced that Part 2 of That '90s Show will premiere on June 27, 2024, with Part 3 hot on its heels on October 24, 2024. While Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman) and Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman) continue to steal the show in the spinoff, fellow alums Don Stark (Bob Pinciotti) and Laura Prepon (Donna Pinciotti) will also make guest appearances in Season 2.

In the upcoming season, we'll see Leia Forman returning to Point Place in 1996 for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red. Leia and Jay are eagerly anticipating spending time together after a long-distance relationship for nine months. But Leia is on edge, knowing that Jay still doesn't know about her almost-kiss with Nate. Nate, too, is worried that his girlfriend, Nikki, is unaware of this secret. But how long can they keep this under wraps? As it turns out, not for long. When the truth finally comes to light, relationships are put to the test, friendships hang in the balance, and the summer seems doomed before it's even begun.
