Yeon first captured the hearts of international film buffs in 2016 with his zombie thriller Train to Busan, which catapulted him into the limelight. Since then, he's helmed three projects for Netflix, including the sci-fi thriller Jung_E and the critically acclaimed high-concept series Hellbound and Parasyte: The Grey. Currently, a second season of Hellbound is in the works, promising more excitement and thrills for fans.

While Netflix remains tight-lipped about how Cuarón came to be involved in Revelations, Yeon couldn't hide his excitement about the collaboration. "Alfonso Cuarón, a master of cinema known for his groundbreaking works like Children of Men and Gravity, has been a huge inspiration to me as a director," he said. "I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to collaborate with him on shaping Revelations, and I have high hopes for what our partnership will bring."

Meanwhile, Cuarón is gearing up for his next directorial effort - his first since the Oscar-nominated Roma for Netflix. His latest project is Disclaimer, a big-budget psychological thriller miniseries starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, backed by Apple TV+. With such an esteemed lineup, it's sure to be a must-watch for film buffs and fans alike.

"Revelations" reunites Yeon with screenwriter Choi Gyu-seok, the mastermind behind the thrilling "Hellbound" and a collaborator on his captivating webcomics. This film's narrative unravels around a mysterious missing persons case, intertwining the paths of a pastor and a detective, each driven by their unwavering beliefs.

Leading the cast is Korean star Ryu Jun-yeol, renowned for his performances in "The 8 Show," "The King," and "Alienoid." He portrays Min-chan, the pastor of a small provincial church. When Yang-rae enters his church, Min-chan receives a divine revelation that identifies him as the abductor of his own son, sparking a quest for justice that alternates between sincere faith and the harsh realities of the world.

Shin Hyun-been, a popular actress seen in "Hospital Playlist" and "Reborn Rich," takes on the role of detective Yeon-hee. She's on the hunt for Yang-rae, a prime suspect in the missing person's case, while also keeping a watchful eye on the suspicious pastor, Min-chan. Yeon-hee is haunted by visions of her sister, a victim of a heinous crime, adding another layer of emotional complexity to her investigation.

Produced by Wow Point, a global production company renowned for its original content across Korea, Japan, and the United States, "Revelations" joins a slate of highly anticipated projects. Recent offerings include the Netflix mystery thriller "The Bequeathed" and "Parasyte: The Grey," an adaptation of the legendary Japanese manga "Parasyte."

"With the collaboration of two globally renowned creators, we eagerly anticipate that 'Revelations' will thrill audiences worldwide," Wow Point enthuses.

Netflix has an impressive lineup of Korean content slated for release in the latter half of 2024 and beyond. Among the highly anticipated titles is the second season of the smash hit "Squid Game." Other noteworthy K-content includes "Officer Black Belt," a 2024 release helmed by director Jason Kim of "Midnight Runners" and "Bloodhounds." Kim Woo-bin, known for his role in "Black Knight," stars as a talented martial artist tasked with monitoring criminal activity.

Park Chan-wook, renowned filmmaker and co-writer, presents "Uprising," another 2024 release set in the Joseon era. This film explores the complex relationship between two childhood friends who become adversaries.

Rounding out the list is "The Great Flood," a sci-fi disaster film starring Kim Da-mi ("Itaewon Class") and Park Hae-soo ("Squid Game," "Narco-Saints"). Set in a world devastated by a catastrophic flood, the film follows the desperate efforts to save a child.
