Young Sheldon's Raegan Revord Comes Out as Nonbinary

It doesn't require a genius to recognize that Raegan Revord is embracing their authentic self with unwavering authenticity. The former "Young Sheldon" star, who portrayed Missy Cooper, the younger twin sister of Iain Armitage's titular character, has openly identified as nonbinary, sharing the heartwarming journey of their personal evolution, which has come full circle.

"It's incredibly cool because, as a child, whenever I witnessed a celebrity or anyone coming out as nonbinary or queer, I'd think, 'Wow, this is so amazing; I see myself reflected in you,'" Raegan confided to Entertainment Tonight. "It's surreal to now be that person for someone else, knowing that perhaps a youngster somewhere is gazing at me and thinking, 'Oh my gosh, I see myself in you too.'"

The 17-year-old continued, "And that's such an overwhelming realization, considering I once stood in those very shoes myself."

Representation is precisely what fueled Raegan's creative spirit to pen a queer love story as their literary debut. On September 2nd, "Rules of Fake Girlfriends" hit the shelves, narrating the tale of a college student entangled in a complicated world of fake dating.

"Many will question you due to your age, and many won't take you seriously," they shared with People in an interview published on the same day. "I had an immense passion and love for this book and its story, believing it was crucial to tell. If you feel that deeply about being a writer, then you already possess all you need."

Yet, Raegan's talents extend far beyond the written word. In a real-life twist reminiscent of Hannah Montana, the star of "Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage" secretly streamed on Twitch under the moniker Setting_Sunset until January, when they revealed their true identity to their eager fans.

"I've been online for more than two years, crafting content and making friends, all while remaining faceless," Raegan revealed on TikTok, just before unmasking themselves. "Ever wondered who was hiding behind the screen? A new chapter begins."
