Building upon Andy Lane's captivating "Young Sherlock Holmes" novels, Finn's portrayal promises to electrify audiences as he steps into the shoes of the mastermind adversary.
Previously announced, the enigmatic Sherlock Holmes will be brought to life by the talented Hero Fiennes Tiffin, in a portrayal that promises to redefine the iconic detective at his formative years. The official synopsis for "Young Sherlock" paints a vivid picture: "At the cusp of adulthood, 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes finds himself disgraced, raw, and untested, as he becomes embroiled in a treacherous murder mystery at Oxford University that threatens to shatter his very freedom. This marks Finn's second foray into the Amazon Studios realm, following his acclaimed role as Mat Cauthon in the high-fantasy epic "The Wheel of Time," where he joined the fray in its sophomore season.
