Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton have delightful news to share. The couple recently welcomed their second bundle of joy together, as confirmed by the Loki star in a GQ profile published on December 30th. While Tom didn't reveal the name or gender of their newest addition, he did share that Zawe gave birth shortly before his sister welcomed her own baby. As he raved to the outlet, birth is an "absolutely stunning, profound, life-altering" experience.
The duo, who welcomed their first child in 2022, revealed Zawe's pregnancy to Vogue ahead of the SXSW London premiere of Tom's film The Life of Chuck on June 7th. At the premiere, the Dreams of a Life actress debuted her bump in a beautiful light-blue ruffled gown designed by Emilia Wickstead.
"I feel incredibly fortunate to be working with someone I know and who has been such a strong supporter during this sensitive red-carpet moment," the Marvels actress told the magazine of the milestone occasion. "As an expectant mother, you can feel a bit exposed, but I feel very supported on this evening."
While Zawe, 40, and Tom, 44, keep much of their family life out of the spotlight - they've yet to share the name of their first baby - that hasn't stopped them from giving the occasional public shoutout.
"Zawe, none of this makes sense without you," the Night Manager star gushed during his acceptance speech at the 2024 People's Choice Awards. "Thank you for your love and support every step of the way." And Tom - who plays Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - couldn't help but praise his partner when she joined the MCU as Dar-Benn.
"My other half is in The Marvels," Tom said while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in November 2023. "And I'm very proud of her."
The Avengers alum offered some marvelous advice from one villain to another. "One of the main takeaways from our conversations was: 'What you put into Marvel, you get back,'" Zawe explained to Entertainment Weekly in 2023. "He said, 'If you go into this with an open heart and a great work ethic and just want to provide an amazing experience for the fans, you'll have an amazing experience on those sets.' He really empowered me in that way."
Zawe and Tom first sparked engagement rumors when the All of You actress was photographed at the 2022 BAFTA Awards with a diamond ring on her left hand. Tom later confirmed the news in a June 2022 interview, telling the Los Angeles Times, "I'm very happy."
