That's a grand finale for Zendaya's "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" saga. The Emmy Award-winning actress and fashion icon has wrapped up her method dressing streak during The Drama's global press tour by stepping out at the New York premiere at Regal Union Square on Thursday night. She dazzled in a stunning Schiaparelli gown adorned with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
Zendaya stars opposite Robert Pattinson in A24's The Drama, a film that explores the turmoil of a happily engaged couple when an unexpected revelation by the bride-to-be sends their wedding week into chaos. As a playful nod to the plot – and perhaps as a cheeky reference to her own recent marriage to longtime love Tom Holland – Zendaya and her stylist Law Roach have curated a series of looks that align with the wedding tradition of "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." This well-known mix, per Victorian-era codes, is meant to ward off evil spirits and deliver good luck to the couple.

Her "something old" was a Vivienne Westwood dress worn to the Los Angeles premiere, which she first wore to her first Academy Awards in 2015. For "something new," she stepped out in a custom Louis Vuitton dress with a back cut-out and oversized black bow that doubled as a train at the Paris premiere. The "something borrowed" made its debut at the film's Rome premiere in a loaned dress from Cate Blanchett's closet, which was made custom by Giorgio Armani Privé. This gown had previously been worn by Blanchett herself at the SAG Awards in 2022, reinforcing the "borrowed" theme.
Roach recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about their method dressing streak and why it makes sense for her films like Dune, Challengers, and more. (See the video here.) Expect to see much more of this creative collaboration from Zendaya and Roach in 2026, as the actress has an impressive slate of new releases. Next up is the long-awaited third season of Euphoria on April 12. After a three-month break, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey hits theaters on July 17. Two weeks later, the highly anticipated fourth Spider-Man film starring Holland will be released on July 31, followed by the third Dune installment, scheduled for a Dec. 18 release.
Zendaya recently told Fandango that she hopes "people don't get sick of me," joking that she plans on going into "hiding for just a little bit" after the crush of new projects hits screens. "I really appreciate everyone who supports any of the movies or supports my career in any kind of way," she said. "I'm deeply appreciative, and like I said, I just hope you guys don't get sick of me this year, because I'll tell you what, I'm disappearing for a little bit. I'm going to have to go into hiding for just a little bit."
The Drama hits theaters on Friday, April 3.
