Zendaya has opened up about her first meeting with Tom Holland, revealing it was the moment she knew that the 'The Odyssey' actor was "her person." During a recent appearance on The New York Times' 'Modern Love' podcast, the 29-year-old actress reminisced about her initial encounters with Tom when they met to screen test for their 2017 film, 'Spider-Man: Homecoming.'
"I knew this was my person because I didn't feel nervous around them," she said of Tom. "I felt really peaceful and calm. Like, I actually felt more nervous when I was away from you than when I was with you."

Zendaya continued by saying that she was "pretty nervous" in her first meeting with Tom because she met the actor during an audition. When asked if she could describe how the 29-year-old actor made her feel calm at the Homecoming screen test, the actress responded, "Just by being a nice person. By making me feel comfortable. I mean, it's like having to do a chemistry read for a big movie like that. It's like, oh, you really want the job, and all these kind of things. And yeah, he was really lovely then," she added.
Recently, Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, claimed that the couple was already married. The hairstylist made the shocking claim while speaking with a reporter at the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1. However, Tom and Zendaya have yet to confirm whether they are married.
