"Zootopia 2" smashed records at the box office with a mammoth debut over the Thanksgiving weekend, raking in a whopping $156 million domestically across its five-day opening stretch and surpassing the $556 million mark globally. According to Deadline, it has now become the highest-grossing global animated film opening of all time, as well as the most lucrative opening weekend for any animated film in Disney's illustrious history. Meanwhile, "Wicked: For Good" effortlessly claimed second place with $62 million, mirroring almost exactly last year's Thanksgiving weekend performance, when "Wicked" and another animated Disney sequel, "Moana 2," drew massive crowds to theaters. Lastly, "Now You See Me: Now You Don't" held onto the number three spot with a solid $7 million in its third weekend.
